Into this bizarre world of conflicting dimensions and “ex-logic” the player is dropped with no narrative or story to get in the way of things: simply the wonderfully unintuitive environment to enjoy. It means that players finally have a chance to crawl into an M.C. Travelling in one direction might get you right back to where you started, while running around in a circle might take you someplace new. A straight path might take longer than a detour. Antichamber’s flagship quality is the fact that the environment is non-Euclidean. The first thing anybody notices about Antichamber is also the defining quality of the game: in Antichamber, space is weird. Those ten minutes left me excited, confused, and with just the tiniest bit of a headache. I’d heard of the title, and the indie developer behind it, and thought I’d give it ten minutes of my time. Goes into my favourites.My first experience with Antichamber came when I played the demo of it at Pax Prime. All in all this is a weird puzzle game, which is super unique, and I can’t have enough of these type of games. Aside from one such element, they were used extensively, so I believe all the design choices were well thought-out. The new puzzle elements always surprised me, and wanted to explore the possibilities with it. There is no story really, but it is artistic and symbolic enough to keep folk entertained. Mafia Sex Noir Pre-Installed:Īlthough, headache and dizziness are real threats imo, I had to pause for 2-3 times along. The game didn’t introduce enough external concepts (there are only three, really: water, dual-direction blocks, and the really annoying large blocks) to keep it interesting all the way through, and I say this when the game is only 6 hours long. There are certain puzzles that shine in Manifold Garden, but it felt like they were running out of ideas very quickly, since there’s only one action the player can actually do, flipping gravity.
Most of the time, I found the puzzles that Manifold Garden put forth were extremely simple, or about turning yourself around until you see a door you missed somewhere. A lot of people compare this game to Antichamber for some reason, but the similarities end at the line that there is a lot of white architecture and the puzzles are about putting cubes in certain places. Would I recommend this game? Yeah, sure, if you’re craving a physics 3D puzzle game. Follow Havier and his mafia family on this journey.
